Did you know stress and anxiety can play a role in our weight and overall health? When the mind is unbalanced, so is the body because both are interrelated. Think back to the last time you were feeling really stressed and anxious. Did you have a stomachache, sore throat or headache? That’s the body speaking!
In addition to meditation, regular exercise and eating nutritious foods, there are many therapies that can supplement our efforts to maintain balance. One of my favorite go tos is aromatherapy. You can find roll on bottles of lavender at cvs or order on amazon. A diffuser is not even necessary - just a few drops of essential oil on your wrist or a tissue will do.
Lavender oil is one of the most calming because it signals the brain to relax the nerves. you don’t have to wait until you are feeling stressed to use it. Try taking a few deep breaths once you have applied the oil and allow the magic of the oil to take over.
